We actually plan to offer cost tracking features to AceProject and billing rate will probably be one of them. Your suggestion will definitely be considered for future development.
In the meantime, a workaround is to create "Time Types" to reflect each hourly rate and manually calculate work hours accordingly. You might want to use codes, for privacy. Each time type may be given a description(in this case, each code's monetary value), which can be viewed by administrators only.
For instance, your time types could be:
- 001 : $25 per hour
- 002 : $50 per hour
- 003 : $60 per hour
- And so on.
Of course, each user should be asked to enter a specific time type every time they fill a time sheet. Hence, by generating time reports (to track actual hours), you will be able to manually calculate the total amount of money spent for their services. For instance:
- 25 "001" hours (25x25) cost $625
- 10 "002" hours (10 x 50) cost $500
- And so on.
