The Intranet Package - Total Control and Flexibility
While some organizations prefer using our ready-to-use Hosted packages, other organizations prefer installing our Intranet package on their web server. Unlike Hosted packages, you pay for a license instead of a subscription. Hence, there is no monthly cost involved. Thanks to the annual maintenance plan, you make sure you are running the latest AceProject version available. If you already use in-house applications, AceProject's application programming interface (API) lets you connect your Intranet package to these applications, among other possibilities.

Purchase a license instead of paying monthly or annually for using the service
While Hosted packages, like most web-based project management software on the Web, require a monthly fee for a subscription, the Intranet Package is licensed. Therefore, it requires a license for a given number of active users to be purchased (one-time fee) plus a recurring annual maintenance plan, in order to keep the software up-to-date.

Control security
For certain organizations, it is not conceivable to store confidential or sensitive data on the Internet. They feel the risk of having this data stolen
is too high. Therefore, they prefer having AceProject installed on their intranet. Thus, they can ensure maximum security for their data. For maximum
security, we recommend you install an SSL 128-bit certificate on your server, which will encrypt your data with the HTTPS protocol.

Control accessibility
Having AceProject installed on your intranet frees your mind of bad consequences Internet downtime would have on your projects. Thus, if your Internet
connectivity goes down, you would still be able to use AceProject, since your local area network connection will take over from it.

Self-customize the application
Having our project management software installed locally lets you adapt it to your specific corporate needs, especially if you need to integrate it with in-house applications. This way, development costs are substantially lowered; the application is already developed, all that is left to do is installation and customization. Your internal IT department can self-perform the modifications you need. You must be aware that all modifications performed by your team are at your own risk and are not supported on our end. You must be aware that all modifications made to your package, as well as the way your plan to use AceProject, must comply with our license agreement.
Since most of AceProject's programming logic is stored in our application programming interface (API), self-customization is limited to a certain extent. The API shipped with the Intranet Package is encrypted and cannot be modified whatsoever.

What's included in the package?
The Intranet Package is emailed as a download link, which includes the items below:
- A copy of the entire AceProject application:
- All files that are required to run AceProject on your server. All HTML files, Active Server pages (.asp), JavaScript code (.js), Cascading Style Sheets
(.css), images (.gif), etc.
- The mobile version is included in any Intranet package for 50 users or more.
- All HTML help documentation about the product, which can be found here. ("Contextual Help", "Getting Started Guide", etc.).
- Note that, for file size reasons, video tutorials and PDF's are not included in the Intranet Package. However, these documents can be viewed online here.
- An encrypted application programming interface (API) that stores most of AceProject's programming logic.
- An empty SQL Server 2008 (.bak) AceProject database. Upon request, your database can include your Hosted account's data.
- A detailed step-by-step installation procedure, which includes screenshots, for easy deployment on your server;
- A copy of the license agreement, which can also be found here. Make sure you read and accept all these terms before purchasing the Intranet Package.
- Note that all modifications made to your package, as well as the way your plan to use AceProject, must comply with these terms.
- Customer service and technical support are main priorities for us. Our priority support service ensures that our customers' inquiries and issues are always processed within 4 hours or less.
- No matter which version you use, support is always free.
Installation Procedure
In order to make sure that your web server environment is compatible with the Intranet package, we strongly suggest you review the installation procedure before purchasing a license. This helps avoid further technical hassles such as limited access rights, non-compatible environment, etc.
Intranet Package Installation Plan - Extent of Support
For both new installations and version upgrades, 1 hour of free support is offered with each version installation. Should we not manage to install or upgrade the package within this time frame, you will need to purchase an Intranet Package Installation Plan, for $295 (fixed cost) for the remainder of the support required to make your version functional.

Annual Maintenance Plan (US$695.00/year):

The annual maintenance plans enable you to keep your Intranet package up-to-date. If you purchased your Intranet package a while ago, you cannot enjoy our latest features. We suggest you take a look at our News & Updates page to review our latest additions.
During the eligibility of your maintenance plan, you can get unlimited upgrades. Upgrades include new features, miscellaneous enhancements and bug fixes. Note that upgrades include the database conversion script for each version. If you don't know which version you are currently using, you can view this information on your login page.

Hardware and Software Requirements:
Database Support:
- SQL Server (2008/2008 R2) database support.
- The SQL Server database supports an unlimited number of concurrent users
- Microsoft offers "SQL Server 2008 R2 Express Edition With Advanced Services" for free. Click here to download it.
Software Requirements:
- Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2;
- A Web server equipped with Internet Information Server 6.0 (IIS) or higher.
- Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.5
Minimum Server Hardware Requirements:
- Computer equiped with a 1.8 GHz processor or higher.
- 1GB memory;
- The unzipped package size is 40 MB
- Required disk space depend on the project/task/expense document usage you are planning.
- A local area network (LAN). Since AceProject is a web-based application, many computers may need to connect to the main server simultaneously.
If you prefer using AceProject online, without having to install any additional software, you need to subscribe to a Hosted package. Hosted accounts are stored on our servers; they can be accessed from any web browser, from anywhere, at any time.
