Already 2016! AceProject is soon to celebrate it’s 15th Anniversary providing it’s quality web-based application to companies worldwide. It is hard to believe that it has been that long, along with some original clients! Thank you for the continual support. This latest release corrects a few issues, of note, some bug fixes and enhancements for iOS9.x for the iPhone mobile users. Take a look below.
iOS9.x Mobile Update
A number of modifications have been ported to the iOS application and is available via the iTunes App store
Attach one or multiple documents from device from the photo gallery, Google Docs (Box, Drop Box etc depending on local installation) and also ability take add picture from the camera
Adding documents can be done during the creation of a task
Scrolling is faster (more fluid)
Drop-down to change items is updated to iOS 9.x look and feel

A number of enhancements have been added to this most recent update to AceProject. Our efforts continue to provide a more uniform experience throughout the application as well as increase the productivity.
Open Task in New Browser Window
Using Ctrl + click on any Task Summary will open a new browser tab and open the task on the Edit page. The advantage of course is that you can open multiple tabs to easily access frequently visited tasks. This also works directly from an email notification. Tab names have been modified to reflect the task # and name.
A visual indicator has been added that can also simply be clicked to have the same action when a task is open in the Edit Task page.
Sorting/Ordering on Assigned Users

Multiple Task Assignments
An update of the Multiple Tasks assignment grid is available. After an assigned user is selected, this view displays either All Tasks, All Incomplete Tasks, or All Completed Tasks. You are then able to quickly set the user as assigned or as a reviewer on the tasks. Two new columns were added displaying the current Assigned Users and Reviewers on the Task. A great use case for this tool is when a new user is added to an existing project, in one centralized view you are able Assign to tasks within a project. This tool is available from the Project Task list on the top right Multiple Task Assignments icon.

Another summer season is upon us (at least for those in the Northern Hemisphere). We celebrated this release a little early by eating outside on the terrace this week…ahhhh…ok, back to work! The introduction of the new Gantt some months ago has opened a number of possibilities, as you will see from below. We are continuing on our progress to provide an efficient and effective application to our users.
Gantt Chart Improvements
AceProject continues to advance on a powerful feature within the application, namely, the Gantt Chart. The improved Gantt that was released in April has had some important upgrades since. The fields in the Grid portion of the Gantt are now all fully editable! (in addition to already being resizeable). Click any field to make it editable. So now, create rapidly 10 tasks with the Quick Add + Add tasks feature, change the names in the Gantt grid without opening the task, click on the assignments field and from the drop-down list multiple select the users, set date, drag-n-drop dependencies, and you are done. Spring is well under way as a new release of AceProject with many exciting enhancements. In this latest release, a new Quick Add button menu and restructuring on the top right zone of the application. Now, no matter where you are in the application, it is always just a click away to add what you need to. Also, the Task Gantt chart has been upgraded adding on to last months modifications. All those Administrators out there! Don’t worry the Administration button is not missing, it has simply been placed under the Settings/Gear icon on the top right.
No matter where you are in the application, you now have one centralized area to add tasks, time, users, an expense, a client and timeclock. If you are already in a project, the tasks, expense, etc will be set to place the item within it.
We are back out of hibernation from an extended holiday break. In this latest release, the Task Gantt chart has been replaced and now conforms with the Project Gantt chart, using the same technical component. This new Gantt is a big improvement on what was previously included. Check out also the many improvements and bug fixes that have been done throughout the application. New Task Gantt Chart Functionality
After a fairly lengthy implementation period, the development team has finally put the finishing touches on the new Gantt chart (Accessible via Tasks>Gantt, form the left main menu) that harmonizes with the Project Gantt chart. One of the most exciting things to come out of this is that dependencies can now be set directly within the Gantt chart as well as ordering of tasks. Also, you can now dynamically change start and end dates as well as modify the progression %, all in one location. It does a great job, however, there is room for some improvements yet.
An update to all accounts was rolled out earlier today. This release should have been seamless to the majority of accounts. A few behind the scene changes as well as a few enhancements for you on this beautiful Autumn day…
Amazon Document Storage
First, the documents that you add to your account are now stored on Amazon (physical storage in USA facilities is only utilized). This provides for even more reliability and security, as well to provide us more room to expand the amount of storage space per account…In other words, there is now no ceiling to the amount of extra storage space that can be added to your account if needed (Current limit was 70 Gb total)
Forward Email to Create Task
Create task via an email has been enhanced by supporting creation through email Forwarding now too! No more copying content, composing a new email…simply click on Forward and add the project email address that you wish the task to go into.

Marked Task levels
Marked tasks used to have a simple on or off state. This has now been enhanced to include six color levels that can be cycled through to indicate priority or different levels for your personal tasks. Summer is finally in full swing and AceProject has added more exciting enhancements. Our aim is to make you more productive and to make the interface easier to understand for those new clients continually coming on board. Two of the major enhancements this month, specifically the Timeclock on a pop-up dialogue, and the User Assistant were suggested via user requests. In past versions the timeclock was on a page that needed to be navigated to in order to set and start/stop. You were always losing your place and had to navigate back to the page you were on. It is now conveniently located on a pop-up dialogue box that you simply open when needed and dismiss.
